Hugh Griffith has over twenty years experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, having held CEO, COO and Executive Director positions. Hugh is Co-Founder and CEO of NuCana BioMed.  
Hugh led Bioenvision's operations, from start-up to a global, fully integrated, NASDAQ National Market listed biopharmaceutical company.  He was instrumental in increasing Bioenvision's market capitalization from $22 million to $345 million in five years, culminating in the company's successful acquisition.
Hugh supports a number of early stage biopharmaceutical companies as co-founder, director, investor and/or advisor. He is CEO & Gatekeeper for Alida Capital International, a specialist biopharmaceutical business angel syndicate.
Hugh has wide pharmaceutical experience having held numerous positions in Abbott Laboratories, Parke-Davis Warner Lambert and QuantaNova. He currently serves on the: Angel Leaders Forum; Scottish LifeSciences Association Board; LiSAB technology and capital workstreams; Chairs SLA Finance SIG; and as advisor to the Saltire Foundation.
Hugh holds a Masters of Business Administration from Cardiff Business School and a BSc Honours in Biology from the University of Stirling.
